Immanuel on the Green, New Castle, is pleased to announce that the new rector, their 29th, was instituted on Saturday, October 28. The Rev'd Christopher P. Keene is eager to see ringing more regularly at New Castle and several new people are now learning to ring. They are being taught by Jane Owen who has returned to help Connie King with these new recruits.

There was ringing before and after the service by members of the Immanuel Guild and Philadelphia ringing guests, including Michael Westman, one of their newer ringers, who rang the tenor. After the service, the bells “fired”, call changes rung as well as bob doubles. A lovely champagne reception in the Parish Hall followed the service and the ringers were all there.

Please do think about coming to the New Castle Dinner, on Saturday, November 10. Ringing will most likely now be in the afternoon from 2-5 pm. Please RSVP to Connie at connielking@comcast.net or to get more information.
