At the suggestion of a long-time member of the NAG, I am offering members a new choice to opt out of receiving a membership card upon renewal of their membership.

The argument against the card is that many people just put them away in a drawer and forget about them, and that the production of the card and mailing expense is a cost to the NAG that can be avoided by eliminating the membership card.

Any member may opt out of receiving the card simply by letting me know. I will put an indicator in the member’s record that will suppress production of that member’s membership card in future, unless rescinded by the member.

I have set up this feature and am ready to process any and all requests from members to eliminate their membership cards. This is not a one-time option, but can be exercised and rescinded at any time.

If you do nothing you will continue to receive your membership card when you renew your membership.
