I'm sad to report the death of Marion Ainsworth Saturday morning, aged 80. Many North American ringers will have known Marion, both from her visits to North America and from her hospitality to visiting ringers in Amersham. Many also know her husband of 58 years, Alan, and their daughter Elva who lived in Boston for several years, as well as their other daughter Jo and son Mark, all ringers. Marion had been dealing with lymphoma for a decade, though it was only in the last few months that her condition reached a point where it curtailed her activities. Those who knew Marion will undoubtedly hold memories like mine, of a vibrant, entertaining and generous woman, always curious about the world and about others.
