DC Earthquake - 5th Anniversary and the Cathedral's fundraising push

Last week, on August 23, 2016, we marked the 5-year anniversary of the earthquake that, in less than a minute, caused significant damage to the Washington Cathedral. To mark the anniversary, the Cathedral added a really informative package to their website that describes the extent of the damage, the restoration work completed to date, and plans for the remaining restoration work (http://cathedral.org/earthquake/). Putting any damaged building back together is a complicated proposition (as I well know) but this particular effort is even more challenging because nothing they’re doing can be done “off the shelf.” Additional factoid: To mark this anniversary, the Cathedral has has launched a new fundraising effort and (if you are interested in supporting this effort) you can make donations directly through the website.
