NAGCR Officers - 2019

I am pleased to report that Tom Farthing was nominated for Public Relations Officer and Quilla Roth as Education Officer for 2019. There were no other nominations for either of these offices, or for any of the other officers other than the incumbents, so there is no need for an election.

However, please be reminded to vote for the Honorary Life Membership position proposal for Derek Wilsden by December 28, 2018.

2018 Trinity Shield - 6 and 8 bell striking competition

This year’s Trinity Shield Striking Competition will be hosted by the Washington Ringing Society at the National Cathedral on October 20, 2018. Building on last year’s 8-bell event at Trinity Church New York, this year’s event will be expanded to include a 6-bell competition, as well as additional ringing opportunities at the Old Post Office, Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS), and Fredrick. Bands from all over North America (and further afield!) are invited to enter, and individuals not part of a formal band are encourage to join one of the ‘pick-up’ bands that will be finalized on the day. The focus will again be less on competition and more on an enjoyable weekend of ringing, eating, drinking, and fellowship. if you’d like to hear more please contact Stuart Barton email:stuart.john.

Ringing Worlds, free to a good home in North America

Someone has already asked to take possesson of these.

Free to a good home: 40+ years of The Ringing World, about 50,000 pages total.

All of 1970 through mid-2010, plus several earlier years.

This could be an interesting addition to a tower library, or to a personal one.

They’re in Pittsburgh right now, but we can work together to find a way to get them to where you want them.

If interested, please contact Don Morrison <>.
