The REDD (Ringing Education Development Discussion) Team is working on organizing some training courses for ringing teachers this summer, potentially at a tower near you, and we need your input to determine how many courses to hold and where.  We’ve put together a short (only 11 questions!) Teacher Training Survey. If you currently teach handling or help with novice development, or if you aspire to, please take a few minutes to fill it out.

We're aiming to offer back-to-back sessions of two, one-day long ART (Association of Ringing Teachers) courses at multiple locations and on multiple weekends.  David Smith, an experienced ringing educator from Australia who is also an ART Tutor will lead the courses for us.

The two courses to be offered are:

·         Module 1 - How to Teach Bell Handling

·         Module 2C - How to Teach from Rounds to Methods

Per Ringing Towers (ANZAB's newsletter), these courses are "practical and thought-provoking... [and offer] the opportunity to learn alongside people with different skills and experience..." from various locations.  If you haven't yet come across ART or would like to refresh your skills in teaching bellringing, fill out this survey and plan to sign up when we announce the schedule!

The deadline for responses is March 19, 2023, so click on the Teacher Training Survey and fill it out NOW!

If you have questions, send us an email at education@nagcr.org.
