Dedication and blessing of Rochester's bells

Church of the Ascension, Rochester, New York

November 20–22, 2015

General open ringing for those arriving by Friday evening, 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Pub dinner (downtown) likely.

Saturday general ringing, 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

Saturday 1 PM: Ceremony (expect it to last 1.5-2 hours) to be followed by a reception with light refreshments in the Great Hall of the church, and then a Dedication Peal (invited band).

Sunday, service ringing before and after the 10:15 AM Eucharist (9:45 to 10:10 AM, and ~11:30 AM to 12:30 PM). Probable Cumberlands' Peal in the afternoon. Possible ringing afterwards if there is interest.

The lovely new ring of bells at the Church of the Ascension, in Rochester, New York's Maplewood neighborhood were dedicated the weekend of 20-22 November. This 11 cwt, ground floor ten in G is the culmination of decades of hard work by Chris and Helen Haller, who were also the major donor of the bells.
